Why was my account deactivated?
I hadn't received a tweet in a while to say I had a new sponsored opp. I checked in today to see what offers were there. It had "0" opp and 0 for everything else as well. Then I noticed a note saying "your account has been deactivated, click here to activate." I never deactivated my account. Why would my account have been deactivated?

Hi Angie,
Sponsored Tweets accounts are automatically deactivated by the system after a long period of inactivity. This is to make sure that the Opportunity matches include people who are active in the system.
However, logging in again, as you have seen, will reactivate your account.

I also don't understand why a couple of my accounts were deactivated!
Some offers that I had accepted were marked as "missed", others as "janked" :-( Also, offers to which I did not respond as they were not appropriate were marked as "refused"...
And I have received NO e-mails from Spntwt in a looong time...
Whats going on?
K-
Hi,
Missed Offers are those that you did not respond to within the 3 day window in which the Offer was open.
Yanked Offers are those that have been removed by the Advertiser.

Carri,
but that does not explain why some of my accounts were deactivated...
Are you still sending out e-mails when "Opportunities" are posted to our accounts?
K-
Sorry, the official reply at the top of this thread addresses automatic deactivation, so I did not think I needed to repost it.
Sponsored Tweets accounts are automatically deactivated by the system after a long period of inactivity. This is to make sure that the Opportunity matches include people who are active in the system.
However, logging in again, as you have seen, will reactivate your account.
Also, we notify you of new Opportunities in your account by means of whatever method you set up in your account. This will either be by DM, email or SMS notification.
You can check and update your preferred notification method via the 'my account' tab at the top of your Sponsored Tweets account.

Carri,
I did see and read the official reply at the top of this post before commenting.
According to my records I last accessed the accounts that were deactivated on 14 April 2011 and 20 March 2011 respectivly. I have not received any Opportunities on these two accounts since. So is 3 months of non-access "a long period of inactivity" that will get our accounts deactivated?
How often are we expected to log into our accounts - even if we have not received any Opportunities - to avoid getting deactivated?
Many thanks,
K- view 3 more comments

I got some more specifics on the script that deactivates. These are the parameters it uses:
* are banned from twitter
* haven't Tweeted in 2 months
* haven't logged into ST in 3 months AND all they've gotten at least one offer in the last 3 months AND they've done nothing but ignore offers in the last 3 months
All the Best,

Hi Carri,
Thank you for finding out more info on the deactivation script.
What is interesting is that some of my accounts that were deactivated:
- are NOT banned by twitter
- tweeted at least once per day
- had NOT got at least one Opprtunity offer in the last 3 months that was ignored
So it seems that the script might be buggy?
Also, does your point #3 include the ignoring of CPC offers? If yes, then deactivation due to ignoring CPC offers is a bit unfair, as you dont have a function to alert us to CPC offers!
Thanks,

Carri, thank you for clarifying this.
May I ask a related question: As you wrote above we can get notified of new Opportunities by DM, email or SMS. Is there a way to get notified of new "cost per click opportunities"? As I do not log into my accounts regularly, this would allow me to quickly tweet these opportunities from your advertisers!
Many thanks,
K-
Currently, we don't alert Publishers to CPC Opportunities. However, we have been discussing making this a value add for PRO accounts.

Hi,
It looks like the account no longer exists on Twitter.
Once an account has been removed from Twitter, you are no longer able to use it for Sponsored Tweets. Should you need assistance reinstating this account, please be sure to contact Twitter support directly.

I visit my account often to see if there are opportunities and nothing... No offers for me, and now I receive an email saying that I have been inactive although I login at least once every week?
So they will block my account anyway, although I don't have offers?
This is a scam so they can take our balance without having to wait for us to make the minimum withrawal balance.
It sucks because I already have balance but I can't withdraw!- view 1 more comment

Maybe because you're from USA and you get specific offers for english speaking countries. The last time I saw an opportunity was for the new years eve, and all for american events. I'm from Portugal.

I have received this on Twitter:
Your SponsoredTweets account will be marked inactive next month and its balance subject to a $5/mo inactivity fee until depleted.
I would like to know why my account will be marked as inactive, and what I can do about this.
Thank you!

Hi Lacey,
Activity is defined as taking manual action on an Offer whether accepting or declining.
In taking a look at your account this afternoon, I think you may get more Offers by editing your keywords. This post on our blog should provide some guidance.

I got a message saying my account is going to be closed because I am not using it. everyday I get a tweet about oops that do not exist on the page. I am not sure what is going on but I would like it fixed.
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
My account is subject to termination but I have not had any opportunities in about a year. What do I do to change that?.-
Hi Erinn,
If you can please provide me with your Twitter handle, I would be happy to take a look.

It's telling me that my account doesn't exist. This is my first time using this website but it already has a history for me and says I completed two offers.

Hi,
Looks like this account was deactivated back in 2011. However, I can see that it is currently live, so I went ahead and reactivated it in our system.
