Lower Minimum Cash Out.
Why is the withdraw limit $50? There are few requests from advertisers and it takes a while to even to get 50. I don't think there should a limit. that is just so useless.

4Hi Everyone,
I am VERY happy to announce that you can now cash out early in Sponsored Tweets by paying a $2.00 fee. We do still plan to revisit the cash out amount in the future, but in the meantime, you will now have the means to get your funds out of the system before reaching the current $50 minimum.
You can read more about this and a few more site improvements on the Sponsored Tweets Blog.
All the Best,
Carri

First I agree the payout limit should be less, but I'm also starting to feel more and more like Sheree, namely, this whole thing is useless! Seemed promising at first, but now it makes no sense. Of the 10 opps I received since joining, from big name advertisers (LG, Volvo, Lifetime Channel, etc.) most came in the beginning when I had fewer followers. Now I have a whole lot more followers and my ratio and scores are much better, but I get no offers, despite cutting my asking price to half of what is suggested!
And the icing on the cake, the other day I accepted a 2 cent CPC offer, and my tweet was rejected. I know I can write a good tweet and I was a bit insulted, and a lot pissed off that I spent any time at all following the advertiser's instructions and writing a good tweet under 140 for the "chance" of earning a lousy 2 pennies. I bet I can walk to the grocery store and find 2 cents in the street on the way, and even if I don't, it's not a total loss of valuable time, because at least I'll get some shopping done. Upon further investigation I find the reason my tweet was rejected was because the "Advertiser ended this opportunity". To me this sounds like Sponsored Tweets dropping the ball. If the opp ended, why was it still listed and offered to me, with a 100% advertiser approval rating at that!
Furthermore I totally agree with The Model Channel about us regular folk who aren't celebrities seeing some reward for our work. At the same time I'd like to re-open the "raising the minimum CPC offer from advertisers" issue. At 2 cents per click it's worse than slave labor, for at least slaves are fed by their masters!
I'm just curious, how many 2 cent offers did Holly Madison accept this month? :-)
To sum up, I guess by the time I get to cash out at $50, it will be just in time to help my family pay for my casket! -
I've had a look at MyLikes - their payout threshold is just $2 and is automatically done every Friday. I have over 9100 followers and never seem to get any real offers so I have to use the pay per click. To get to $50 on PPC is going to take me past retirement age!
Why not set the payout limit at $5 instead - it can be once a month rather than every week but at least publishers who aren't celebrities, and therefore who need the money, can actually see some reward for their efforts. -
I completely agree

Hi
Only been with Sponsored Tweets a few months.
I have had money coming in from the start.
I haven't hit the $50 mark, yet. So I haven't seen it go into my paypal yet. It is building and growing as I build my followers.
This is my first online income and now that I am learning how to connect multiple tweeter accounts together the income has become steady/daily.
Izea may want to provide a newsletter with tips on how to increase follows, add twitter accounts on other topics and maximize our ability to give our followers want they are looking for.
I am reading all the free stuff I can find on twitter and the free info is teaching me how to optimize my twitter personality to best conform to twitter followers needs.
We are performing a service that we must continually tweak to more closely conform to want our customers want(followers)
A lower cash out minimum would be good at say $10 paid out automatically once a month.
All I know is the more I learn the more I know how little I do Know
Luck to all and have fun sharing want your clients want-
Hi Online William,
Thanks for the suggestion, I like it!
We do have a blog on Sponsored Tweets, but we could definitely use it for more educational posts and tips. Let me talk to our Community Manager and see what we can come up with!

I know that everyone is upset, but I am doing a lot better on here than I am on mylikes. You can only send 1 tweet per day on mylikes but on SponsoredTweets you can send all that you have, so I am sticking with SP.

Agree with all that lower min payout is required.Btw, the 30 day wait (pending $$$) to show up in account is also not good.

Lower the payout to $25.00. This is fair. Many people never get to $50 stop tweeting and they don't have to pay out!

I’m
surprised this thread, and all similar threads, have got so long. I think if they were harnessed, we'd have a new environmentally sound energy source.
Wrote a post about this earlier in the thread - thinking it might stop soon - but it's still hoofing along so here you go: http://bit.ly/ce4lVr It's a review of this and other options, to help people make an educated choice. Better to think these things through than just jump ship. Sponsored Tweets has a lot going for it.
Hope it helps.

Even though I agree, i have to be honest. I have made payout once already and I'm $6 away from another payout now. I also have almost $50 worth of missed offers. I don't have a tremendous amount of followers either. I guess maybe it depends on the categories you choose? I do get less offers now than when I first joined though.
To be fair to all, I think we should have a choice of our minimum payout (like many other sites offer). Of course Sponsored Tweets can set a min and max range but being able to have a choice would be fair in my opinion. -

This is the point. If a company like Sponsored Tweets has 10,000 affiliates with an average of $25 in "accounts receivable" they have A QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS of OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY that they are holding onto for NO GOOD REASON! ...other than the fact that - with so much to invest - they can find investments wherein they can get a 100% return within as little as a couple of months!
This is the exact same shyster reason for many corporations' delay in paying legitimate claims, using their throng of lawyers when they KNOW they are going to lose the lawsuit! They merely make money ON the money before they fork it over!
I'm still working on my affiliate review site - dedicated to exposing the injustices that hard-working affiliates endure in the pursuit of a buck. Sponsored Tweets isn't likely to get a positive review for the very issue discussed here.-
Despite the derogatory nature of your post, I am not going to remove it at this time.
HOWEVER.....
****Please keep in mind that all speculation of pending fund amounts are just that, speculation. There is no factual basis for your claims. And that's not just because you do not have access to our financial records, it is because there is no evidence to find. Also keep in mind that the line between speculation and libel is thin.
I understand your frustration in wanting easier access to the funds you spent whole minutes generating, but I can assure you that we have no systems in place to use the money earned in your accounts (not to mention how unethical that would be), so it's really as useless to us as it is to you.
That being said, I will reiterate that I am doing everything I can to change the cash out policy and hopefully you will see some movement on this very soon.
All the Best,

WOW, totally. I suppose everyone is entitled to speak out, after all that's what these are for, still.... SPTW has been around for a time, and I know huge numbers that have had success with it, got paid, etc., and speculations such as that are in deed bordering libel. SPTW has a very high reputation people. (not affiliated, btw, but having fun earning $) :)

Wow! Didn't even see the quarter mil.
Thanks for opening our eyes to the pile of money in the middle of the floor.
Now that automatic monthly pay out at $10 or over looks like a bright idea to this interested observer. -

I'd love to see the payout lower, but truthfully, I'm at payout now. Took me 286 days. I know it seems like a long time, but I'm pretty picky about what I tweet, so others could get there quicker, I'd think. PLUS that's at 31 ops - at about 2 minutes each, I spent one hour making $51. I just can't complain about that too much, even if it takes months to get there. Hang in there!!!
-
-
I too would like it lowered to around $25. However, I am VERY happy with SPTW, and so are other people I know - the program is tops.

hey everyone. I'd like to say that I have reached payout June first 2010,over a year to get there. but I did get paid.Although I don't do the offered tweets any more, I've managed to get 77 tweeters and 2 advertisers as referrals under me.I'm again at $16.00 just from referral commissions.(two months almost)
out of 77 referrals, only about 35 are "eligible".That kinda sux.So to make some cash off referrals,I need around 1000 referrals,so 500 are "eligible".For some one like me,that's not impossible, but for regular people(don't have many networking sites to dig up referrals)It doesn't look good.
I think a key factor may be that Izea found out how BAD bit.ly was fudging the hit count. That really effected our payment potential. What used to be 30 hits turned into 1.I've got 18,500 followers, and can't get one click on a #ad.My followers are active and send me @replys every day,Plus I rank in the top 5000 on twitter(depends on the website),and listed on 679 lists!
Morel of the story is,It doesn't matter who you are or how many followers,Twitter is only a gold mine for a select few,and Izea did not choose them, their followers did.
I do think that the payout should be lowered just on the fact bit.ly misled all of us.
I think the minimum payout was derived when everyone thought all the hits were real people. Now that Izea has adjusted their hit count,I think advertisers are realizing their getting less bang for their buck, and that is also the reason for less sponsored tweets.
I think ST is awesome, and I'm going for my 1000 referrals.

I am at balance: $17.50
($7.07 pending) not bad for one month
I have 716 followers to date I have not referred anyone yet. But to me this is just something I come on once a day before I go to bed take about 10 mins and do. I do my daily tweets throughout the day with other info so I keep my readers interested in my tweets. Good Luck Everyone. Oh and what is stupid my mylikes account and magpie were both suspended, which is ridiculous. My Facebook account is for my main business I do Graphic Design, Sales, and Marketing, so I have only businesses on my profile a few regular people my twitter is for general consumers shoppers those that I can share designs with and get feedback from them . So for me sponsoredtweets.com is a great system and now with the payout lower that helps if I even run that low on money that I need money for milk, or gas for a day:-) -
